Health & Fitness Data

• Step count data from Health Connect (Android) and Apple HealthKit (iOS)
• Activity recognition data to track your daily movement
• This data is used solely to display your fitness progress within the app

User-Generated Content

• Activity schedules and daily plans you create
• Journal entries including text, mood ratings, and tags
• Habits and reminders you configure
• Timer sessions and focus time records
• Bookmark URLs and titles you save for quick access
• Metric logs (weight, water intake, custom measurements)

Account Information

• Google Sign-In / Apple Sign-In data (email, display name, profile photo) when you use the Compete/Leaderboard feature
• This is optional and only required for social features

Voice Data

• Voice recordings when using voice-to-text for journal entries
• Processed using on-device speech recognition
• Recordings are not stored or transmitted to external servers

Advertising Data

• Advertising ID for personalized ads (Google AdMob)
• You can opt out of personalized ads in your device settings

• Display your fitness progress and daily statistics
• Sync leaderboard data with other users (only if you opt-in)
• Provide AI-powered insights and motivational content
• Show relevant advertisements (free version only)
• Process subscription purchases through RevenueCat

Local Storage

Most of your data is stored locally on your device, including:

• Activities, journal entries, habits, and reminders
• Timer sessions and focus records
• Saved bookmarks
• App preferences and settings

Cloud Storage

The following data is synced to secure cloud servers (Supabase) only if you use the Compete feature:

• Your display name and profile photo
• Daily step counts for leaderboard ranking
• Friend connections
• Subscription status

Data Retention

• Local data remains on your device until you delete the app
• Cloud data can be deleted by signing out or contacting us

We use the following third-party services:

• Google Health Connect / Apple HealthKit -- Health data access
• Google AdMob -- Advertising (free version)
• RevenueCat -- Subscription management
• Supabase -- Cloud sync for leaderboard
• OpenAI -- AI-generated insights and roasts

Each service has its own privacy policy governing their use of data.

The Bookmarks feature allows you to save and open website URLs within the app. When you open a bookmark, you are accessing a third-party website through an in-app browser. These websites have their own privacy policies and data practices that we do not control.

You have the right to:

• Access your personal data stored in the app
• Delete your data by clearing app data or uninstalling
• Export your data to a backup file
• Import your data from a previous backup
• Opt-out of personalized advertising
• Withdraw from the leaderboard at any time

SparkDay is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last updated" date.
