Terms of Service

SparkDay is a personal productivity app that helps you plan daily activities, track steps, journal, build habits, set reminders, and compete with friends on a step leaderboard. It is developed and operated by Apratim Sahu ("we", "us", "our").

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

Some features (e.g. the Leaderboard) require you to sign in using Google Sign-In or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.

You may delete your account at any time via: Side Menu → Data Management → Delete Account. Deletion permanently removes all your data from our servers.

SparkDay offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions:

• SparkDay Pro Monthly — billed monthly
• SparkDay Pro Yearly — billed annually

Subscriptions unlock premium features including: ad-free experience, 25 leaderboard friends, premium sleep sounds, premium focus music, premium clock faces, 5 AI roasts per day from 30 roasters, and AI-powered daily reports.

Billing & Renewal

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
• You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID Account Settings after purchase.

Cancellation

• Cancel anytime via iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → SparkDay.
• Cancelling stops future charges but does not provide a refund for the current period.

Refunds

• All purchases are final. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com.

Grace Period

• If a subscription expires, a 7-day grace period applies during which Pro features remain accessible.

Core features of SparkDay are free and do not require a subscription or account, including: activity planning, step tracking, journal, habits, reminders, focus timer, and decision helper.

SparkDay uses HealthKit (iOS) and Health Connect (Android) to read step count data. We do not sell or share your health data with third parties. Health data is used solely to display your step count within the App. Step data is only uploaded to our servers when you choose to participate in the Leaderboard feature.

SparkDay is not a medical app and does not provide medical advice. Do not rely on step or activity data for medical decisions.

All core app data (activities, journal entries, habits, reminders, sleep settings, and timer sessions) is stored locally on your device only and never sent to our servers.

The only data stored on our servers is leaderboard-related: your display name, daily step count, and friend connections. This data is permanently deleted when you delete your account.

Sleep Sounds and Focus Music are streamed from our servers and require an internet connection. Some sounds can be downloaded for offline use. Audio content is licensed for personal use within the App only.

The Roast Mode and AI Reports features use AI to analyze your activity data and generate personalised content. AI-generated content is for entertainment and informational purposes only and should not be treated as professional advice.

The Leaderboard allows you to compete with friends using a shared step count. By participating, you agree that your display name and step data may be visible to users you have connected with.

• Free accounts: up to 3 leaderboard friends.
• Pro accounts: up to 25 leaderboard friends.

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Attempt to reverse engineer or tamper with the App
• Upload harmful, offensive, or misleading content
• Misuse the leaderboard or social features to harass others

All content, design, and code within the App is owned by Apratim Sahu. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without explicit written permission.

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that data will never be lost.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Apratim Sahu shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this document.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of India.
